Week 7 Listening Blog

 For this week's blog post, I listened to "Be My Baby" by The Ronettes. I really enjoyed listening to this song! It is a really fun song, and it is definitely making a comeback because I hear it all over TikTok. This song is really fun and makes me want to dance and fall in love. It is really sweet, and has a super old timey feel that I love. The music is really romantic but it is also upbeat, and this mixes with the lyrics perfectly since the song is a love song but you could still listen to it. The percussion in the song goes between on beat and syncapated, which is something they did to add to the relaxed feel of the song. This song is really romantic just like most songs today and just like a lot of my favorite songs. My favorite part of the song is the second verse because it feels like she is singing right to the person she wants to be singing to, and I think it is a really good example of crooning. Overall, I love this song and wouldn't change anything about it!
