Week 6 Blog Post

  This week I chose to listen to Sh-Boom by The Chords. I chose this song because i have always loved it, and I really enjoyed listening to it again for my blog post. It is so feel good, and the voices, lyrics, and instruments all blend together so perfectly and make the song as well-known and iconic as it is. One thing I love about this song is how old-timey it feels- it is a romantic song, but also keeps a high tempo throughout and makes the listener feel great. The song came out in 1954, and even today almost everyone knows the song as a classic. iIt has appeared in a bunch of movies and TV shows, and I've even seen it make a comeback on TikTok over the last few months. The scatting in the song is so good- it makes the song feel really jazzy and makes me feel like dancing. The saxophone solo near the end of the song is also a nice addition and definitely adds a lot to the song's flow and style. The melody is super catchy and I think it is really obvious why the song is so popular. Overall, I love this song!
